Spin a web on present

Noah is into Spiderman, and I wanted to do a something creative for his birthday pressie. We bought him spiderman gloves which can spin out web, spiderman pjs and a special light gadget for his tshirt. I used red wrapping paper to follow spidey's colours and attempted to use brown strings to spin a web. After an hour, my web look like a mess. In the end, my dear HB to the rescue, and guess what he did a beautiful job!

Meya wanted me to take this shot

Meya's Fairy Woodlands Birthday Party

This post is 2 months late, and I keep telling myself I must do it this weekend, but every weekend I seem to be doing something else instead. I'm such a procrastinator.

Giant Tree
I drew and cut out a giant tree to paste outside thehouse next to the main door, so that everyone can take photos. We picked up leaves from the park, dried them and sun them till they are brown and crispy. I reused the pom pom from the pink princess party and turned them into flowers. The owls are printed and mount on hard art card. I printed out the birthday banner and hang them on brown strings with little brown pegs.

Centre piece for Dining Table
I had a brain block for the table, I didnt know how to set up the decor. One late night I took out christmas holly out of desparation, and put it in on the table and started building around it. So glad, the black pebbles and the little elves look good together :)

Decorate the gift wrapper without using ribbons

Baby Jonah is celebrating his 2nd birthday this Saturday, and I just want to quickly wrapped his present and get it off my checklist. Meya insist we do abit of art and craft on the box, I wanted to just laze around and wait for dinner time. But we ended up doing a mini project, It took us slightly an hour. I did not have any inspiration and we tried to find stuff around the house we can use. The felt flowers was cut long ago, was just lying around in my felt box.

Well, it not too bad for something that's not planned :)

King & King's Wong Haul

I received a call from King & King's Wong that I have a $106 voucher I can redeem since its my birthday month, no minimum purchase just need to make sure I take stuff more than the voucher value.

I went down with Eva and Meya and I came back with a cake stand, large serving plate and 4 sets of incense diffuser. I only need to top up $29, of course I'm happy :)

Flower Brooch for Daylin

I made this brooch some months back when I was on sabbatical leave, I originally wanted to turn into a hairband. That day, when Dawn and kids came over for a play date as well as to pick up Meya's hand-me-downs. I have no one else to pass to and I dont think my plan for having a second kid will ever happen. Oh well, its better to pass to a good friend then to sell the old clothes online. Dawn said the dresses are coming in handy as she needed to attend a wedding in Sept. So, I decided to make the flower into a brooch for Daylin to pin on her dress.

Meya's Woordland Fairy Party - Work in Progress Part 2

It's the Hari Raya long weekend, which gives me some time to put more things together for the party.

Fairy in apothecary jar
I added the small pebbles for the bottom of the base, then filled it with green moss, then I added the twigs, bigger pebble. I bought the fairy from The Better Toy Store at Ngee Ann City for $12.90. So happy it was the right size for the jar. I wanted to take photos of the steps taken to built the jar, but halfway I was distracted by Meya's persistent coughing. So when I came back to the task, it totally slipped my mind.

Goodie bags for the little boys
I used the sushi decor for the grass and hand-cut the printed mushrooms. This year, I have a little helper, she helps me to add glue onto the sushi grass and mushrooms :) I made thank you pegs using the leaves we collected from the playground.

Cat Socrates

HB wanted to get some weights over at Bras Basah Complex, I was kinda reluctant to go but I was in for a surprise cause I discovered a very cute whimsical shop called Cat Socrates on level 3. It was paradise for me, I instantly picked up an iphone cover of Eiffle Tower upon walking into the shop. Love at 1st sight :)

They sell all sorts of shabby chic and zakka mix of nic nacs, my kind of shop. One corner, they dedicate it to lomo cameras, with camera bags, books and rows of postcards. The stationery corner is just as amazing with the array of notebooks, luggage tags, stickers etc etc. I can go on and on, but if you are into etsy kind of stuff, just go on down, it wont be a wasted trip. Its a perfect place to pick up gifts for Christmas, and if you are buying me a pressie, you can go there too :)

Obviously, I cant walk out empty handed, heh heh heh. I bought 2 picture frames, 1 iphone cover and 2 porcelain birds.

We are going to a little boy's birthday party this afternoon, after wrapping up the pressie, both Meya and me wanted to use blur ribbons. Unfortunately, I have none left in my crafts cabinet. We had to improvise, we took out some paper and sticker and ta dah, photo below.

Snoopy's Street Fair - Love it and Hate it

I found this game when I was down with chicken pox, it's free to download and I have been playing everyday since I downloaded it. I even introduced it to Ariel, Jo and Viv and now they are also addicted to it, thanks to ME!

The game is relatively simple, buy stalls to earn money and gain XP (experience) to move to next level. You will also be awarded Snoopy Dollars for every new level. I only discovered 3 weeks ago, that every 5 consective playing days, you will be given 5 Snoopy Dollars, but you must be logged on to Facebook or Games Centre. I lost out many Snoopy Dollars earlier because I find it too bothersome to sign up either account.

The character stalls are so darn hard to get, most of which require Snoopy Dollars, which is so bloody fustrating. But Beeline is so f@#king good in creating the graphics that I find it so hard to put my phone down. I charged my mobile several times a day, I spent so much time poking the phone, I end up like those crazy commuters on the mrt. I laughed at those people in the past, and now I morphed into one! The mini games within the game are rather challenging, one of my art director who attempted my game, couldnt even get the colour mix full points. Tsk Tsk

My addiction has gone beyond another level, I bought Snoopy Dollars with REAL MONEY today. Yap I spent US$4.99 this afternoon, after many days of comtemplating whether to spent the money, I finally caved it.

I LOVE the game to bits, the characters and stalls are so cute and I HATE u beeline for making us spent money on stuff that doesnt exist in RL. ARGH!!!!!

Watsons - I dont think I can live without u

Why Watsons? I visit them almost every week sometimes even a few times a week, even more often I do more grocery shopping. So don't you think they deserve some compliments from me?

Watsons is no longer the typical store where you get your usual toiletries and household stuff. They are now carrying many brands of cosmetics from Japan, Korea and US.
My favourite store is the one at Ngee Ann City, it's really huge and they have the widest range of imported cosmetics.

Every time after reading product reviews online, I definitely go Watsons to check out the product

Some of my favourite products (there are too many to list)
1. Cotton Pads
2. Haba Lobo Eye Makeup Remover - one of my HG products
3. Garnier Perfect Fit & Relax Whitening Mask - one of my HG products

4. Eco Tools Make up Brushes - I have the Blush Brush, Retractable Kabuki Brush, Concealer Brush, Eyeliner Brush, Eyeshadow Brush, my HG brushes, does not drop hairs, or run colour when washing
5. Silky Girl Loose Powder - most affordable loose product that works on me!
6. Loreal Infallible Eyeshadow in Black - my latest discovery and it works on me as eyeliner :)
7. Fairy Drops Mascara - no longer available

If I take photos of all the stuff I buy from Watsons, I probably need to use a wide angled lens and many more photos to squeeze them all in. The above are just some of my favourite stuff.

Thank you Watsons and please continue bringing in MORE imported drugstore cosmetics brands :)

Black Chiffon Brooch for Lee, Red Felt Brooch for Mei

One last pressie for Mandy (this is obviously not a mother's day gift)
