Crafty Dots 1st Flea Market

Price card designed by Glenn

Brooch Display - eventually all sold

My little Crafty Dots corner

Hairbands display

All sold, Yay!!!

Today started with a greyish morning, nice and cooling, great day to begin our flea sale. Sold my first hair clip to my neighbour seller's daughter, and I bought a toy from their stall, end up almost like a barter trade. More people came at about mid day, sold more stuff. The hairbands are moving at a rapid speed, it seems to be the hottest item. Must make more in future, if i decide to do more flea markets :) I sold all the felt hairbands, felt brooches, bags and some hair clips.

The Thank you Speech
I must thank Glenn for creating the logo, masthead, stickers and price cards, without you I will be stuck with the awful masthead I created.

Thank you Laura for taking the photos at the flea, and making sure our logo appeared in almost every shot. Plus helping me to order the black hairbands.

Thank you Jo for selling my stuff and taking photos of my happy customers.

Thank you to all those who bought from me today, its really great knowing that there are people out there who appreciates handmade stuff.

A big thank you to all of you

Busy Busy Busy But Happy

Been really busy sewing, preparing for the first "debut" for crafty dots. Very excited actually, well it will be the first time I'm selling my crafts to public. Really looking forward to this Sat's flea market.
At first, I wanted to take it easy, cause I'm only given a very small corner. But as the day gets near, I keep adding more things to sell. I have even decided to get crafty dots stickers printed for the bags! I will try to take photos within the next few days of my new creations, I'm quite pleased with the stuff I'm creating lately.
Maybe its because the thinking kept me distracted from my daily life.

Handmade Korean Inspired Brooch

my creation

from far east

I was looking at this brooch I bought from a korean shop in far east that day, and I don't understand why I paid SGD$49 for such a simple brooch with no frills, the flower is just hot glued to black grosgrain ribbon.
Considering I can do my own little craft stuff, I didnt even think twice when I bought it. I did my own version, and I still cant decide whether to sell it or keep.

Cream Brooch finished with black grosgrain ribbon SGD$22 - SOLD

Grey Brooch with Diamante finished with black grosgrain ribbon SGD$15 - SOLD

Handmade Felt Flower Hairband

Turqoise & Dark Brown Felt Hairband

Cream & Pink Floral Hairband - Limited quantities

Cream & Baby Blue Felt Hairband

Quite happy with my cutting skills. The petals are all drawn and handcut, not using those fancy die-cutting machines (but I do wish I have one)
. Meya is wearing a cream and navy blue felt flower, finished with a dark blue vintage button. Please note that all buttons are one of a kind, I will not be able to give you the same exact button, but I will do my best to match it.
Selling at $12.00 each
