I have not been blogging for a while, nowadays I spent my weekdays buried in work and weekends we are always out hunting for good bargains. The house has FINALLY started renovation, hopefully it will complete by end Aug, and we can moved in to celebrate Meya's birthday by then. I'm such a fickle minded person when it comes to the house designs, the brief I gave to the contractor has changed so many times, I'm so glad my darling husband put up with all my nonsence. One minute I want a brick wall and the next day I changed my mind to wall skirting designs. Remember I bought the glass coffee table from OM some time in April, I decided that it does not go with the french chic look, so I sold it away. I had so many fickle-minded instances, even I cant keep track of it. Hee hee hee
Sometime back, I fell in love with the Christian Dior's Fall/ Winter 2011 ad, the colours are so bold, deep and incredibly elegant. I decided to inject these colours into the living room.
I'm going to teal the living room wall, and look for a deep purple carpet (the hairless type). Last week, I found the perfect french chair in olive green. Unfortunately, the photo of the french chair is in my crappy handphone, I cant download it :(

We wanted to celebrate Meya's birthday in HK Disneyland this year, I thought I could get away planning a party, unfortunately that there are too many plans this year and we concluded we wont be able to get away this year :(So I asked Meya last night whether she wanted to have a circus theme, she doesnt think much about it and wanted a fairy party. I was thinking to myself "Huh, another one of those girly party AGAIN", must think of something different, thats not overly girly. Need to start planning, I really dont have much time, knowing I always like to change my mind along the way. This time, it wont be so easy, I still have to juggle the new house renovations and furniture shopping at the same time :( I missed all my galvanised pails, bird nests, bird cages and green moss from Floral Recipes, if only I still have my props around, this party will be a piece of cake !
We can find almost everything here in Singapore, from food to fashion to quicky finds all except good quality furniture. I'm going nuts searching the island for furniture, and every time I go on the internet to get ideas, I always wondered to myself why cant we have such nice stuff over here? Why cant I be in London or New York or even good old Thailand? I have listed the places I've been, for the benefit of people who have the same problem as me :(

I have been obsessed about door knobs for a very long time, they are just like jewelleries for door, they dressed them up or down.I bought some porcelain door knobs from a shop in Plaza Singapura, planning to use for Meya's wardrobe. They are having a store wide sale, only paid $10 for one instead of $17 :)
This evening, I popped by Robinsons and I found these vintage glass knobs! I'm so surprised to see such things here, so far I only see such knobs on Etsy. However, there are only 3 pcs left so I bought all of them. I have not decided what to do with them, as usual buy 1st decide later. And the best part is they only cost $20 after 20% discount.
Glass Coffee Table . Only $199 original was abt $950. This is really a yucky image, but its the closest match to the table we bought. This comes in black but all sold out :(
Our Dining Table in white, it matches my ornate mirror for the hall :)
We also bought a white floor lamp and a sofa, unfortunately I couldnt find the images online so I can only show off when they get sent to the new house.
